Brain Injury and the School-aged Child
School-aged children with brain injury need the same kinds of specialized tools and skills
training their adult counterparts need. Perhaps more so. After all, the “work” of being in
school is new learning, and without skills for writing Memory Notes, following instructions,
reading with comprehension and managing troubling feelings, how can we expect our
brain-injured children to flourish?
Age-appropriate Tools and Skills Training
Over the years, BRAIN BOOK® System has
received many requests for a youth version of the BRAIN BOOK®
System. One is under development (with the assistance of a teacher and BRAIN BOOK®
student who has used principles of the BRAIN BOOK®
System with her eight-year old daughter, and found them to be successful).
